Today I’m opening the Powered by Intuition Mailbag and answering a question from a subscriber whose “Intuition has disappeared.”

QUESTION:
“I’ve had ‘The Family Gift’ since my parents first recognized I knew things that I shouldn’t be able to know when I was around 3 years old.  However, almost a year ago, on December 9th, I lost my father to Cancer and he was also coerced by my stepmom to write me out of his will, which devastated and hurt me deeply!  I COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN!
Now I rarely feel, hear or see my invisible friends at all! How Can I overcome this obstacle, if it’s possible to do so. I have forgiven my Dad but the hurt won’t go away and I feel it is blocking me tremendously!
Any advice would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!”

ANSWER:
Dear MB,
I’m sorry to learn of your father’s passing and that you were cut out of your father’s will. I can understand how hurt you must have been. I’m glad you’ve forgiven your father though. This is a great question.

When we feel hurt, as you indicated in your email we can absolutely block our intuition. The pain caused by what we interpret to be a rejection is deeply wounding and traumatizing. Inside we may be thinking things such as, “I’m not worthy.” Or, “I could have not done this, or I should have done this instead” and we feel responsible for our loved one turning against us. Guilt is a huge block to Intuition. It’s a heavy burden and block that can and will affect many areas of our life. It can even affect our health and suppress the immune system if we believe that we deserve to be punished.

Regardless of whatever our role may have been (or not been) going over the “what if” scenario again and again will keep the pain in the present moment and keep us stuck in a vicious cycle of beating ourselves up for something that we now cannot change. Forgiving your father, your stepmom and yourself are the vital first steps to take. Of course, I understand that this is easier said than done. Daily meditation and reflection on loving them and yourself and stating that you are open to forgive will help pave the way for the pain to recede so you’re no longer a prisoner of the past and these painful emotions.

If you do feel in any way responsible for the outcome you might choose to “punish” yourself by suppressing what you call the “family gift.” If you feel that you deserve to be cast out from the family you might also feel on a subconscious level that you don’t deserve to have the family gift. It may also be a temporary symptom caused by the pain and grief you’re processing from the loss of your father in addition to the feelings of being rejected by being cut from his will.

Emotions are energy and deep pain and grief are very powerful ones. If you have read Dr. Hawkin’s book, Power vs. Force, you will be aware that every emotion corresponds to a frequency. The “higher” the frequency the more light and positive life force is contained within the emotion. This is why we are always trying to “raise our vibration.” The emotions that are denser are heavier ones such as grief and what we might call “negative” emotions.
Heavy/dense emotions do not contain as much “light.” All living creatures emit light or biophotons that can be seen under laboratory conditions. This light emission decreases when the organism is unhealthy and obviously stops when the organism dies. So when we are processing dense emotions our bodies are not in top form. Rather than traveling the bodies’ energy system and recirculating after being processed these dense emotions can get trapped. This sluggishness in the free flow of our life energy, creates what we refer to as “blocks.”

4 Steps to Raise Your Vibration and Clear Your Intuition Blocks:

1. Set aside 20 minutes a day to practice peace, love and gratitude.
Feel grateful for what you do have and review all that you do have instead of what you missed out on by being excluded from your father’s will. Feel love for your father and if at first it’s hard to feel love toward your stepmom, feel gratitude toward her for being there to take care of your father during his bout with cancer.

2. See yourself immersed in a still pond of peace. 
Focus on feeling as if this watery peace is being absorbed through your skin into every cell of your body. Feel this peace traveling through every vein in your body. See it bathing every organ. Start from the bones in your feet and see it washing and soothing everything it touches all the way up to the top of your head.

3. Send out love and gratitude. 
Feel the cleansing peace being released back into the world through your every breath as self-love and gratitude. See a golden bubble of pure light surrounding you, your father and stepmom. Feel how much love you have for yourself, your Dad and stepmom. Feel the gratitude at being alive and at having an opportunity to take what you’ve learned in life and try again each new day.

4. Forgive and let go.
Years ago I practiced with a group of Sahaja yogis and the leader of this group had a mantra that I still use to this day, “I forgive. I forgive everyone including myself.” Keep repeating that. Use it throughout the day when you feel a sense of injustice or anger toward your Dad or stepmom.

Eventually your intuition will return. It might be that at this time it’s more important to work on yourself right now rather than your intuition. These blocks may have “ballooned” now so that you have no choice but to deal with them and clear them, and most likely they were holding you back throughout your life in ways you hadn’t realized. In fact, this is probably a good thing. Clear your emotional blocks now so that you can be a fully charged clear channel for the next great chapter of your life!

Why Intuition & Raising Your Vibration Matter Now More Than Ever

Does the world feel upside down to you these days?

There’s so much fear and unrest since the inauguration of the new US president. One day the world was ‘normal’ and then the next day it wasn’t. This atmosphere is producing a lot of stress and anxiety because we don’t know what’s going to happen next and we don’t know how to deal with it.

The chaotic events of recent days have affected me too even though I’ve tried my best to stay neutral and centered. One minute I’m okay and then the next I feel myself pulled down into the negative emotions of fear, anxiety and despair about the future of our world. I know I’m not the only one that this is happening to which is I why I decided to address this.

We must keep try to keep our emotions in check

It’s vital that we rise above the lower levels of fear, anger, and resentment where these emotions can cause us to “react” rather than act consciously. When people react they say and do things they might not have done otherwise. All this ‘reacting’ causes other people to ‘react’ against them and that creates more negativity and an environment of anger and unrest. Keeping our emotions in check ensures we don’t become ensnared in all the drama.

Keeping our vibrations in the higher emotions allows us to remain in more neutral state where we can ‘choose how to act’ rather than ‘reacting out of fear or anger’ to our circumstances. In these tumultuous times our emotions are being assaulted by all that’s going on around us. The fears about our safety and security triggers the reptilian brain keeping us in a perpetual state of fight or flight.

To rise out of the continuous cycle of being triggered and having those shock waves of fear flood through your mind and body you must try to shield your self by turning inward and re-balancing your emotions. Re-balancing is bringing your emotions back to center after they’ve been jolted to one end of the spectrum or another. The fear and anxiety cause a wild swinging of emotions from one extreme to the other that make you feel out of control and off balance and lead to feeling disempowered.

When you feel disempowered you may also feel hopeless and helpless like a victim of circumstances beyond your control. The more disempowered you feel the more entrenched you become in this vicious cycle of wildly swinging emotions. And the less likely you are to take steps to reclaim your power and your life.

Why intuition and raising your vibration matter now more than ever.

What we need now more than ever is for people to be conscious, compassionate and empathetic. When people feel compassionate and empathetic they’re less likely to ‘react’ in ways that might hurt others. The way to stay above the fray and in the higher emotions of compassion and empathy is by connecting more frequently and more deeply to our intuition.

The more connected you are to your intuition the higher your vibration will be. Tuning into your intuition requires that you go within and listen to the “small still voice” rather than the din screaming for your attention on the outside. Going within, quieting the mind and listening has been proven in studies to increase compassion. There are studies that show how a certain part of the brain corresponding to compassion and empathy “lights up” during meditation. If you’re intent is to be a clear channel in order to receive guidance quieting the mind is a must. The more you practice the more your compassion center is awakened and nothing could be more important in the world right now than compassion and empathy.

Developing and fostering your intuition allows you to feel what other people are feeling. That means you feel their pain and suffering as if you were ONE because we are ONE. We are one living breathing organism. Our apparent separateness is an illusion. The life force energy that keeps my heart beating in my physical body isn’t separate from the life force energy in your body. The truth is we are not our bodies. We are that life force energy. The life force energy is known as Chi, Spirit, Greater Intelligence and God and other names. And we are all part of one energetic web of life in an around and through our planet and most likely beyond it.

Intuition is the technology through which we connect to this web of life. Getting still and listening to the stirring of our intuition is how we are guided toward the light of higher emotions that nurture and protect us. This is a time in history when we need more connection, kindness, compassion, and empathy then ever before.

Feel more love & be more loving toward one another

To climb out of the lower emotions and stay in the higher emotions we need to increase the amount of love we feel within us. There is no way to feel loving and angry or fearful at the same time. So we need to choose to feel loving and make that our intention.

Focus on others

One of the best ways to lift ourselves from the negative lower emotions is to focus on others. When we focus on helping other people we are automatically taken out of the lower emotions. We stop dwelling on our own fears and our heart center opens just a bit wider when we are doing for others.

We can focus on others by helping the people in our lives who need our help. We can also volunteer to help others through the many organizations that rely on volunteers to bring much needed services and goods to people. We can start groups or join groups dedicated to projects that do good works. We can also pray for others. There’s a myriad of ways we can focus on others and begin to take the focus off our own fears to feel empowered again.

It matters that we stay in the higher emotions more than ever now because we aren’t victims. We can feel empowered and there is hope for our world. There is always hope as long as we remain conscious and non-reactive. We can come together as a group and lift our vibration together and then use that higher energy to send love around the world to lift the vibration of the planet. Our collective intention can make a difference.

Intuition and Power vs. Force

“How do I know if I’m using real power or force? I read your articles about how to raise your vibration and I want to raise mine but sometimes I’m not sure if really wanting something and pushing for it is okay or not? Is that force?”

Power vs. Force

The easiest way to know the difference between real power and force is to look at your life and notice where you’re frustrated. Wherever you experience frustration is where you’re likely to try to “force things.”

When we’re frustrated it’s normally due to our expectations not being met. We expect something to take place in the way we’ve imagined it would and when it doesn’t we feel frustrated. Frustration usually results in us trying to “make it happen” anyway. In some cases frustration results in violence. That’s a very obvious sign of using force.

If the frustration is due to something within your control then by all means try to correct the situation; that’s not “pushing” its persevering. If it’s out of your control you need to “let go” and let things work themselves out. If you keep trying to “push” and make it happen despite it being out of your control then you’re using “force.”

True Power

Real or “true” power never stems from forcing others to do things. Actually, its quite the opposite. When you’re using true power you are empowered with a magnetic presence that pulls people toward you because you’re aligned with the highest good of all concerned. “True power” is an innate quality to the most charismatic and successful people. Just think of how we gravitate toward babies, puppies and kittens. In their innocence they exude the power of pure goodness and we are irresistibly drawn toward them because of it.

When we use force things don’t flow and have a way of backfiring on us later. When we are using “true power” we will attract people, situations, solutions and support as needed to accomplish our goals. Using true power puts us in the “flow” of life rather than in opposition to it.

Any time we are in opposition to something we create a “see-saw” effect because it pits us against something. For example, for one person to be “right” another person has to be “wrong.” So we are always on the see-saw, either up or down but in any case, going nowhere and stuck in this counterproductive repetitious pattern.

Deal with Challenges

This is not say that you will never have challenges when you are using true power. Nor does it mean you sit back and do nothing. You must still take action even when you face challenges but make sure it’s the right kind of action.

You will know what the right action is when you’re using true power because you won’t be stuck on only one solution. You will be able to disengage from the narrow viewpoint of what is frustrating you and let go. This stepping back and releasing the fixation on what’s not working allows for other solutions to come to you via your intuition. And, when you allow this to happen you are using “true power” and the solution is “intuitively inspired.”

This happens because true power comes from higher intelligence, or what some people call “Source,” life energy or God. When we insist on using sheer force we are relying on our “small selves” and the limited information stored in the brain.  Force cuts us off from the elegant solutions that Source can provide us.

Listen to Your Intuition

We are always connected to this source of higher intelligence but in our frustration we feel cut off and separate. When we allow ourselves to step back from the problem and open up to this source of higher intelligence we will receive answers via our intuition that are far better than anything we were stubbornly fixated on before. This is because we are receiving answers from the intelligence that created us and everything in the universe.

Our limited brain is no match for higher intelligence. We are using true power when we are in alignment with higher intelligence and do what is good for all concerned. To do this we need to step back from insisting that things be one way, or our way and reset our attitude in the situation to “neutral.” When we are neutral the answers will come to us via our intuition. To know if you are using true power check if you feel calm, secure in the belief that the right answers will appear and that everything is working out for your highest good.

Get in The Flow

When we are aligned with true power we don’t feel compelled to force people to do things or to make things happen. We take action and move toward our goal and receive answers and intuitive guidance along the way so that we can make course corrections if necessary. Then we are in flow and using true power.

“Raising your vibration” and keeping it high is important. The more aware you become of your thoughts and feelings the more rapidly you will be able to move out negative reaction patterns into the calm center of the higher states of being.

Everyone gets upset over things but the secret to maintaining a high vibration is to manage our reactions to the things that happen to us. It’s not the things that happen that cause our turbulent emotions it’s the meaning we assign to the events.

We need people to be clear channels for higher energies now more than ever. And each of us can help elevate the the collective vibration of mankind if we raise our individual vibration.

Feeling into the Frequency of Luck

After being prompted to write the article by a PBI reader’s question, I decided to see what would happen if I focused intently on “feeling like a winner.” I felt into the vibe of being a winner and let it sink in. I visualized myself celebrating something and being very excited about it. I added this step to my daily meditation with no expectation in mind, which means I was not attached to any particular outcome (hint – non-attachment is very important). Each and every day I allowed myself to really feel the frequency of luck and I was pleasantly surprised to win this wonderful and useful prize.

Giving is a major part of the equation

You must feel into the luck frequency with complete non-attachment and you must also give to others with no expectations or attachment to “receiving” in return as well. Everything we perceive from physical objects to thoughts and emotions is pure energy at its core and has its own unique vibrational frequency. When you give you’re circulating energy that vibrates high on the scale of human consciousness. The more you emit this frequency and are of service to others the more enriched your life will become. When I say “enriched” I don’t mean to limit it to money, although it can be. To live a rich life is to have an abundance of love, happiness, joy, good relationships and good health – not just money.

Raise your vibration by giving without expecting anything in return

When you give unconditionally you feel good. When you feel good because you’ve helped someone that automatically brings your emotions up on the scale of consciousness. Dr. David Hawkins, creator of the scale of consciousness demarcates the vibration 200 which corresponds to Courage, as the level we must rise to in order to cross the line from the negative emotions to the positive ones. Giving falls in the vibratory rate of 350. The more predominantly your emotions stay in the positive state above 200, the more your life changes for the better because remember, like always attracts like. This is  the reason why “giving” always comes back in some form when you remain predominantly in the higher emotions.

Gratitude

Gratitude is another important component of the Luck Frequency. During my meditation I not only visualized myself being excited and celebrating something I also felt  grateful and “blessed” to have received so I visualized myself sharing the blessing by giving to others. I visualized someone being happy and surprised by something I’d given them. When we receive we must share the blessing by feeling grateful and then doing something good for others. You must allow the blessing to move and circulate from you to someone else.

Dissecting the Frequency of Luck

Luck appears to have three very distinct components.

1. Feeling like a winner. Feel the joy of winning and believe and expect that good will come to you.

2. Giving to others with no expectation of getting anything in return. Give for the joy of giving. Give because you love to.

3. Being grateful for all you have and experience in your life. Feel the joy of being blessed and be grateful. Be thankful and celebrate.

It doesn’t matter what order you feel these emotional components. All that matters is that you feel them together in the present. Did you notice that Joy is the common element that ties the Luck Frequency together? According to Dr. Hawkins Joy has a vibration of 540. If you can tap into feeling joyous frequently you will automatically be in the frequency of luck and love where you can share your blessings with others.
