How can you play BIG in your life?

How can you step into your own inner authority?

Numerology is one way for you to play big and recognize your strengths. It allows you to see patterns and themes that are normally hidden and simply seen as fate, luck or accident. But, you can utilize Numerology to lead a happier and more expansive life. You can start utilizing the benefits of Numerology by noticing the overall theme of the current year.

In Numerology each year is part of an ongoing 9-year cycle, and each year has a distinct theme, such as beginnings or endings, and brings new opportunities and possibilities into your life. I’m often asked how to best take advantage of the options and choices available in a new year. One of the best ways is to simply be mindful and open, so you can work with the theme and energy of the year, rather than struggling against them.

When you ‘re able to see and work with the potential available within a particular year, rather than being caught in a struggle and trying to swim upstream, you’ll be better prepared to move with the flow and more easily make any needed decision, change or transition. This means you will want to understand the prevalent Numerological themes for the year and work with them in your own life. The overall theme for the year is described by the Universal Year number, which provides details about how the year will look. This number influences everyone and there is also a Personal Year number, which only influences you.

The Universal Year number for 2014 is 7

In general, each number relates to particular characteristics. The number 1 relates to beginnings, while the number 7 relates to strategy and insight. As a Universal Year of 7, 2014 provides space and time for remembering, patience, reflection and reviewing your life. 2013 has been a Universal Year of 6, which involved compassion, care and support. This year many of us have felt the urge for greater self-care, and inner and outer support. Now, 2014 allows us the chance to settle down and look within.

How can you settle down? You can begin by finding ways to witness yourself, and develop a curiosity about the mystery of your own life. Curiosity helps you to remain open to your possibilities, but it also helps you to find meaning and value in your life. Be curious about the needs of your heart.  It’s likely that you already know what your heart is yearning for. Are you willing to pursue it? Deep inside you have probably long felt a pull toward a certain direction or decision. Your decisions can bring incredible shifts, change and transformation, if you’re willing to listen to your own inner guidance.

Settling down and stepping out of the noise and static of everyday life will aid you at this time.  Having a mindfulness, centering or meditative practice will help you to find calm and allow you to more deeply connect with your heart. Again, be curious and be willing to ask important personal questions that can aid in your reflection.

Some questions you might like to reflect with:

Am I still moving in my desired direction?

What would I like to create?

What divinatory tools might I use in my own reflection?

How do my choices allow me to step forward?

How am I holding myself back?

What have I been delaying?

Where can I find the help I need?

What has my heart been yearning for?

As we enter 2014 you can best aid your own transition by spending time in personal observation and reflection. Use whatever tools work best for you.  The questions above will help, but you will also  wish to mindfully observe yourself, take up yoga, or start keeping a journal. Simply know that now is an ideal time to remember and act on what’s important to you. These tools, and others, can help you to slow down and notice yourself and your heart. Focus on connecting with your heart and the yearning within it.

Be aware of the things you’ve been holding off. You only have this moment. What have you been delaying until the time is right? By delaying your choices, you’ve been denying your power and living in a diminished capacity. However, this process is not about labeling yourself as right or wrong. It’s also not about guilt or shame. It’s simply about acknowledging your creativity, passion and courage. It’s about waking up to your life. And, it’s understanding that we’re all creative, and your creativity can help your life to unfold in ways you haven’t thought of.

Many of us tend to get trapped or locked in an egocentric view of the world, which is limited and constricting. We get caught up in worry, competition and control. Letting this mode of living go, and living from your heart, is a way in which you can open your life up to new possibilities and situations you might not have even been aware of before.

You Matter

Have value for your life and no longer willingly being dismissive of your heart or your aspirations. You are unique. Your heart offers particular guidance, because of your gifts and your individuality. Your decisions and actions can help you to heal and inspire others. As we all decide to follow our hearts, we can inspire others who can then move on to make their own shifts and changes and these changes can then can bring transformation to individual communities and ultimately the world.

It starts with you. You have purpose.

Your mission begins by following your heart and living an expansive and courageous life.

Use the tools that speak to you so that you can bring mindfulness and awareness into your own life.

Spend time reflecting and rediscover who you feel you truly are.

You can work with Numerology to develop a deeper understanding of your life, needs and desires. Together, we can work your chart to help you see your own personal themes and patterns. We can review the energy available during this year and look to see how it matches the energy of your Personal Year. Working in depth with Numerology will allow you to live on purpose, and be expansive, expressive and creative.

April 2013 Numerology Forecast – You’re Number One!

Numerology Forecast for April 2013

April’s Numerology Forecast brought to you by intuitive numerologist, Kari Samuels, is about manifesting your desires.

You will be showered with opportunities for empowerment and self-love.

Numbers are similar to planets in the way they affect us, since they are both vibrations.

All throughout 2013 we are experiencing the influence of the number 6. (2+0+1+3 = 6). 6 energy teaches us to have balance, foster healthy relationships, and create more love and harmony.

Every month, as the numeric value changes so does the energy.

April 2013 is the 4th month of the year. Therefore, we always experience the influence of the 4 vibration in April. Four is a number associated with the Earth, our physical bodies, and our material world. Squares have four sides, and are a stable shape on which to build a foundation.

It’s the perfect time to square your corners, get your finances in order, and create a structured plan for your future. No wonder this is the month for taxes! There are far more glamorous applications, of course. The most important being honoring your body, enjoying the Earth, and creating the building blocks for the life you love.

During April 2013 we are influenced by the number 1.

We get this by adding the Universal Year number (6) to the number of the month (4). 6+4 =10. In numerology, we reduce numbers until they are a single digit, 10 is reduced to 1 (1+0 =1). This is such powerful energy! 1 teaches you to put yourself first, follow your intuition and do something for the first time, and celebrate your uniqueness.

This is a wonderful time to learn how to listen to your own needs, rather than other people’s.

Do you often hold back from saying or doing something because you are afraid of what others will think of you? Do you accommodate other people rather than voice what you want? Is there an idea that you want to share with the world, but are afraid it is not practical? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, it’s now time to say YES to you!

There is a beautiful synchronicity of energies in the Universe now that are encouraging you to believe in yourself by following your intuition. It is never selfish to be self-nourishing. In fact, it is the best thing you can do for the people you love!

The burst of energy you will receive is similar to a sprout pushing it’s way through the soil. Why not harness this force to promote some needed changes in your life?

Here are some tips for suggested actions you can take:

  • Release yourself from any social obligations you have that are draining you.
  • Make time for yourself every day.
  • Tune into your intuition
  • Put recreation and self-care on your calendar
  • Write up a business plan for your dream career
  • Share with your friends and family something about yourself you’ve been afraid to tell them.
  • Be yourself!

It’s time to celebrate you!

Remember, if you don’t make yourself number one in your life, who will? You’re the only one of you on the planet, and we all need you to be your shining beautiful self.

Happy April!

Numerology: An Art & Science

Numerology: An Art & Science

“The invisible thing called a Good Name is made up of the breath of numbers that speak well of you.” –George Savile

Numerology: An Art & Science

Today I am excited to share an interview with intuitive numerologist Kari Samuels.

1. What is numerology?

Numerology is a beautiful art and science that has a myriad of applications.  There are endless possibilities for its usefulness. It’s very similar to it’s sister science, Astrology, which can be used for timing events, relationship compatibility, understanding a person’s spiritual lessons, psychology, and even karma!

 2. How did you discover numerology and why were you drawn to it?

I have always loved numbers! I used to love figuring out number sequences as a little girl. I was also always drawn to all things mystical, as long as I can remember. When I was in my late twenties, I began to discover my gifts as an intuitive, and started reading tarot cards.  The tarot has such a beautiful intricate number sequence that my desire to learn more about the archetypes of the cards led me learn about numerology.

I read in a tarot book how to discern someone’s Life Path Number and thought that would be a fun way to start my readings with clients. I was totally blown away by how accurate it was! I started seeing patterns in people’s lives based on their numerology and developed my own insight about the numbers through what I learned from doing readings with clients. The accuracy and insight the numbers reveal never cease to amaze me. It totally reinforces for me how divinely guided we are in the Universe.

 3. What is numerology used for?

Your name and your birth date are the map for your soul’s purpose. Every letter of your name (yes, letters are used in numerology too!) and every number in your birth date is a blueprint of your destiny. Letters and numbers are vibrations, they have a sacred geometry and vibration that shapes the way you experience the world.

Your personal numerology reveals what your talents are, your abilities, how you experience your emotions, your intuitive gifts, your desires, challenges and opportunities. You can get a sense of what subconscious fears a person has. I can actually use numerology as a portal into people’s past life experiences. Karmic lesson numbers reveal traumas that a person has carried into a person’s life. It’s amazing what you can discover!

I love doing relationship readings with numerology, because opposites attract. A person’s numerology chart will reveal what makes a person tick, so when you help a partner understand what their specific needs are, you can help them communicate better. It’s sort of like knowing what breed of dog you are 🙂

You can also use numerology to find the best time to plan an event or product launch that would be fortuitous. It can be used for naming projects or people, and finding the most harmonious home – since all houses have numbers as identifiers.

 4. What can numerology predict?

Numerology forecasts are similar to weather forecast. You can discern what energy will be influencing you at different times. There is really a season for everything -for action, rest, creativity, logic, stability, adventure. Numerology helps us with all of this. We have personal cycles and global cycles. For instance, all of 2013 we are influenced by the number 6, since 2+0+1+3=6. 6 is the number of balance, harmony, relationships, and family responsibility. Balance is a theme in so many people’s lives right now. Particularly since last year was a 5 Universal Year, and 5 energy always loves to rock the boat. We had a lot of that in 2012!

Since the numbers change around the world every day there are Universal cycles and Personal cycles that can be determined with numerology. It helps to know not only how to plan appropriately, but why things are happening.

 5. Can you give us a brief synopsis of the numbers 1-9 and their meanings?

This is one of the reasons I love numerology the most. There are only 9 numbers to learn!

1 – Beginnings, initiation, innovation, action, independence, assertiveness, competition

2 – Peace, harmony, intuition, sensitivity, relationships, love, diplomacy

3 – Creativity, cooperation, social, optimism, joy, fertility, verbal ability, heartfelt expression

4 – Stability, safety, security, paternity, logical, grounded

5 – Freedom, adventure, change, experience, risk, adventure

6 – Balance, love, harmony, family responsibility, domestic

7 – Mystical, mysterious, insightful, discerning, research, breakthrough consciousness

8 – Abundance, passion, prosperity, finances, big wins and big losses, strength

9 – Wisdom, counseling, humanitarianism, compassion, old soul

 6. What are master numbers? Does seeing repeating number patterns mean anything?

Master numbers are the double digit numbers 11, 22 and 33. They have a broad range of potential that requires mastery to channel properly. They require going through many lessons to realize the fullest benefit, so both the challenges and rewards are immense.

Spirit Guides often communicate through number sequences to get our attention! It’s a way that we can know that we are in sync with our divine purpose, or that we need to get more on track! If you use apply the general meanings of the numbers, you can get a sense of what messages your Guides are sharing with you.

 7. What does a numerology reading entail?

Each numerologist will have their own unique way of interpreting the numbers. Since I am an intuitive numerologist, I use the numbers in your birth chart to help you understand your life purpose, why you have experienced the circumstances in your life from a spiritual perspective, and what gifts you have chosen to share with the world. I can also help you understand any subconscious blocks you have from manifesting your gifts. I’m also an energy healer so I would help you in clearing those patterns as well.

8. How can readers get in touch with you if they’d like a numerology reading?

I  have so many resources for you! I have a Facebook and Twitter page where I share your daily numerology forecasts, I do monthly Youtube videos, and I have a completely free ebook, “Numerology Guide to a Happy Life” that helps you find and interpret, in detail, everything I discussed here today.
