I’d rather have the things I want in life come to me than have to go and “get” them. It makes life so much easier not to mention exciting. This is the transformation your life goes through when you rely on your intuition to guide you. The world comes to you.
Your intuition provides the “intel” or intelligence for you life. When you use this “intel” it’s always a “short cut” to whatever it is you are trying to create in your life. So why wouldn’t you want to begin listening to your intuition?
I’m living an intuitively inspired life and I’d like to encourage you to also. I followed my intuition and left a 16 year finance career and it has proven to be an amazing ride. Doors have opened and paths appeared before me that were not on my radar when I was living fearfully and holding back from listening to my inner wisdom.
What does an intuitively inspired life look like?
“To live an intuitively inspired life is to be aligned with your intuitive wisdom. When we are aligned with this wisdom, we naturally gravitate toward those activities that honor our authenticity. Our path and true purpose become clear as we allow intuition to lead us. Conventional thinking no longer sways us; rather, we are moved to share out true talents and gifts with the world in loving service.
Centering our lives upon this wisdom activates a blueprint within us that has been dormant since our birth. This blueprint contains our true potential and reveals the route we are to take to remember what our chosen mission is at this time. As we focus our lives on this mission, and on this guidance, we find the obstacles that held us back in the past begin to fall away. Questions we have had are answered, and all the uncertainty we might have experienced about living within this new paradigm disappears.
The journey we take to fulfill our mission reconnects us to our joy and authenticity. We surrender and allow life to flow through us and take us to our next steps easily and effortlessly. We are infused with an energy that streams into us from an inexhaustible source. And, this life force energy carries us over the bumps int he road and headlong to the next steps on our quest. The flow of joy we receive by reconnecting to our authentic selves inspires us to live up to our full potential and greatness; we, in turn, inspire others to reconnect to their intuitive wisdom.
As we live each day, fully connected to our intuitive wisdom, we accomplish more than we could have ever imagined. The journey takes down roads we never would have imagined we would take. We find ourselves enjoying our lives like never before. We surrender the emotional burdens that had us in knots—those that hindered us from living life fully. As a result we stop worrying so much and become more playful and open to this divine inspiration. By letting go of the need to control everything and moving with this flow we will find that we no longer have to go out and “get” the things in life we desire; rather, they begin to come to us and appear in our lives exactly when they are needed. When we align with our intuition we are resonating with the wisdom that created the Universe and our original purpose. It is this harmony that brings the world to us.” The Intuition Principle, p. xv-xvi
As soon as you begin following the path your Soul longs to everything lines up for you.
It’s as if you have changed magnetic polarities. Where before your energy repelled the things you wanted it now “attracts” them to you.
Sadly, the large majority doesn’t live this way. They’ve become used to having to “make things” happen or fight through obstacles to get what they want. So, it seems “normal” and this is why the idea of “having the world come to you” seems so implausible. If people have been doing things one way for eons they just cannot fathom that there is another way.
The truth is you will never see that another reality and way of harmonizing with life exists until you take that leap of faith. There absolutely, positively is a net there……but you have to leap to see it.
Will you leap? Why or why not? What’s holding you back? Let me know in the comments.

“And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”

The Law of Attraction: Spending vs. Investing
Did you watch the movie, “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne or read her book? Most of the world now knows about the Law of Attraction thanks to her. Unfortunately, while Byrne did a huge service for the world the depth of the information wasn’t there to accurately convey how to bring more abundance to your life.
There’s a misconception that in order to attract abundance into your life you ought to prime the pump of the LOA by spending money. Perhaps you were told that in order to demonstrate your faith in the Law of Attraction you ought to “dig your ditches before the rain.” This idea originally comes from a passage in the Bible but I first read about it in Florence Scovel Shin’s book, “The Game of Life and How to Play It.”
What Shin meant was that if you’re praying for rain you must take action and dig the ditches to hold the water ahead of the rain. “Digging ditches” clearly communicates that you firmly and unwaveringly have faith in the Universe to bring about what you desire.
You might have misconstrued this advice by first buying the things you wanted as a demonstration that the money to pay for them would then show up. Unfortunately all this does is create debt. “Digging your ditches” symbolizes that you must have the faith and take action toward achieving your goals even when there isn’t a “cloud in the sky” to indicate that it’s going to rain.
There is a difference between spending and investing
Notice though, Shin did not say to go out and use up all the water you have as an act of faith that it would rain and then the water would be replenished. This is what you’re doing when you spend money you don’t have. You’re draining your resources. What Shin advises is to invest your energy and resources in creating a “ditch” or reservoir so that it will hold all the water you need whenever you need it. This is what “investing” does, it becomes a resource that pays you back again and again over time.
Spending money doesn’t garner the same results as investing
For example you see a gorgeous pair of boots and think,”If I buy the boots I’m showing the Universe I trust that the money is coming to pay the credit card bill.” But after you spend the money your life hasn’t changed. You have a nice pair of boots and nothing else to show for it.
When you invest money you take an action that ensures that the money will return a dividend, in other words, pay you back. For example you might be in a 401k retirement program at work. Over time with good investment strategies this investment will grow and be part of the money you live on in retirement.
You might invest in buying a home for the same reason; you anticipate that with time its value will increase so that someday when you sell it you’ll get back more than you spent to buy it. This is also the reason for investing in education. When you learn something useful it contributes to your ability to apply it in a way that the actions taken based on knowledge you received pays you back over time.
In general buying “stuff” for yourself is spending not investing. Clothes, furniture, cars and the like while needed are not investments. Buying something the goes up in value and returns a profit when you sell it is an investment. Examples of some good investments that will improve your life are education, coursework and coaching.
Investing in yourself is the entire premise of self-development. You are developing yourself for something, right? You probably want to learn how to be more successful at life which is to be happier, peaceful, self confident, more capable, loving and a better human being I would imagine.
Invest in yourself instead of spending on yourself
To unlock the power of the Law of Attraction invest in yourself. Investing in your education is one of the best investments you can make. Invest in a course that will help you learn what actions you need to take to create a better life. This will prime the pump of the LOA in your life much more than a one shot purchase such as a pair of boots. To invest in yourself is to dig a ditch and build a reservoir of resources that will pay you back handsomely over time.
Action demonstrates your faith in the Law. You must take the proper action steps. Wishing and visualizing are not enough. Action is how you “seed” the clouds for all that rain. And, if you don’t know what you want that’s a problem. You must know what you want in order to know the proper action steps to take.
Knowing what you want is key
If you aren’t sure of what you want your life to look like and all you think is that you want “abundance” you’re going to be disappointed. Abundance comes in many forms. You’ve got to be specific in order to come up with the action steps to seed your cloud.
Prime the pump of the Law of Attraction
Know what you want. Know your purpose and mission in life and then you will know what actions to take. After all you can’t get there until you know where “there is,” right? Knowing your purpose is having the map to get to your destination. As soon as you are clear on where you want to go the result of every action step taken will yield much more dramatic results toward your ultimate success.
If you are unclear of your purpose invest in yourself. Open the way and seed the cloud toward your abundance by investing not spending on yourself. Find a coach or take a course on how to find your life purpose, read a book on this topic or have a thorough astrological reading of your purpose done.
The sooner you know where you’re heading the sooner you’ll get there!

“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.” –Henry David Thoreau
Today I’m delighted to share my conversation with Melody Fletcher of the Deliberate Receiving. Melody is an expert in the Law of Attraction.
If you’re not reading her blog you’re missing out on some awesome information. Today Melody shares three of her best tips with us for activating and utilizing the Law of Attraction in our lives.
Here is the “cliff notes” version of our conversation but, you really ought to listen to the whole thing to get all the benefits of what Melody shares with us.
1. You have to pay attention to you how you feel. Your emotions indicate whether you are moving in the right direction in your life or not.
We have been taught to not acknowledge our emotions and to suppress them. But, our emotions tell us whether we are moving in the right direction in our lives or not. We should be honoring the choices that feel better rather than those that make us feel bad. Allow your emotions of enthusiasm, exuberance, unconditional love and joy to lead your decisions. Pursue activities that create these emotions and you will manifest a life of joy.
2. Instead of complaining about something ask yourself, “What would I want instead?”
When you switch from complaining to focusing on what you want it completely changes your mindset to a more positive frame of mind. When you ask yourself what you want instead you are sending a “memo” to the Universe saying that you no longer desire to engage in situations that annoy or upset you. Shift gears from being upset to talking about what you want and you will feel better and when you feel better you will begin to turn your life around. Having positive emotions and feeling better is your first manifestation. Nothing can come into your life unless it is a vibrational match. The more often you do this the sooner you will see changes in your physical reality. When you change the way that you feel your life will change around you.
3. Learn to quiet the mind so you can focus on feeling good and on what you want in your life.
You can raise your vibration and have a “party in your head” by visualizing what you what you want in your life. The joy you feel during this “mind journey” will translate into positivity that affects your life for the better. By exuding an emotional frequency that matches what you focus upon internally – your outer life will reorder itself with situations that match your new higher emotional frequency.
Meditation is a great tool to help you attune to feeling good and the vibration of what it is you wish manifest in your life. Guided meditation is an excellent way to allow your mind to slow down and relax by focusing on listening to the narrator.
To create the happy life you want that you can look back on with no regrets get in touch with your emotions, stop complaining and focus on what you want and how that will make you feel.

Can saying “no” help you grow and prosper?
Yes, it can.
How do I know?
I learned by making the mistake of saying, “yes” to too many things when I should have said “no.”
I said yes to clients when I wanted to say “no” and “yes” to collaborations, committees and constant availability by phone and email when I wanted and very much needed rest.
I’m not saying that we shouldn’t assist others but, saying “Yes” to another request when our plates are already full is detrimental to our growth in many ways.
Here’s why: (more…)
Is successful living merely the “luck of the draw?”
Or, do we have the ability to shape our lives?
I believe we do have the ability to shape our lives.
Your thoughts are creative
You build your life thought by thought based on your desires. Your desire to have, be or do something is the first building block in the life you wish to create. (more…)
Do you know what your thoughts are building?
How much attention do you really pay to your thoughts during the day?
Do you allow any and all thoughts to take root in your mind? Or, are you vigilant and disciplined about pulling out the “weeds” before they become impossible to remove?
The only way to know what we are building is to become truly conscious of how we are using our thoughts. (more…)
