Intuition Stories of Guidance for Your Life
Everyone is intuitive.
Our intuition is a primal sense that has been with us since mankind stood upright. It is there to warn us about danger in our environment.
Have you ever had the feeling someone was following you? This feeling is the intuitive knowing you get to warn you that you may be in danger. Feeling that someone is there you turn round and see them and then RUN which saves your life.
Intuition does come through differently for everyone though and sometimes it can be confusing. Read these three stories to get a sense of how intuitive insight shows up for these writers.
The more you know about how intuition works the more likely you are to recognize it in your own life. And, the more you follow your intuition the more confident you will become in trusting it and the more successful you will be in your life.
Intuitive guidance for relationships:
My husband and I were having issues early in our marriage. We were butting heads and our arguments seemed to be getting worse.
I had reached the point where I had had enough and was ready to walk.
Just before I told my husband that I was done, something stopped me. I suddenly realized that I was following a pattern. I started to see how I had done this in every other relationship I had ever had.
I remember the voice of my intuition saying to me quite firmly, “Not this time. Stay. Learn something. You can always leave later. For now, stay.”
It was tough to stay but I did. For the first time in my life I realized that I had to work on myself. The problems in my life weren’t always someone else’s fault.
If I kept experiencing the same kinds of relationship issues, regardless of who I was with or where I lived, then I must be a big part of it. Like Jon Kabat-Zinn says, “Wherever you go, there you are.”
I put my relationship on hold while I saw a therapist and did some deep work on myself. The more I changed, the more my husband seemed to change into the person I had been looking for.
Our marriage improved. Since then, I’ve never stopped looking deeper into myself, seeking opportunities for changing myself into the person I’ve been looking for.
My intuition was right.

Intuitive guidance about your life path:
I’ve been getting a lot of signs and synchronicity lately about what to do next with my business for the next 3 months while I’m visiting home. I’m not sure of the outcome yet because it’s still in the making, but I got invited to be a co-author in a book series about soulful relationships or conscious business. When I checked it out, the buy in price just didn’t seem worth it. I knew that I could invest in myself for cheaper and probably make more money. My intuition was telling me this is a gentle nudge to write my OWN book instead.

Thank you for the inspiring stories! I really like the one with the relationship. I went through almost the opposite all my life, even when a relationship wasn’t working, staying in it because it was the safe thing to do and wait for the other person to break it off, until last year. I had been for about 3 years, when intuition told me that it wasn’t going to last and it wasn’t the right thing. When I decided to listen to it and my wife and I parted ways, it was without any drama, and we remain best friends to this day. In the meantime, I also met my soul mate, and started my own business. Thank God for intuition 🙂
I have been working more an more on follwoing my intuition. and it does work. Even silly little things like tying my hair back. But always, always it turns out it was the right decision becasue of something that I had no idea would happen. But I uess my intuition did. It seems the more you follow, the more aware you become of those intuitive signals.
Hi,
How are you? So great to have you visit.
Yes, your “higher mind” always knows what’s going on and will advise you – even on silly things like whether to tie your hair back if you listen and trust it.
It too have found over the years the more I listen the more accurate I have become.
I enjoyed reading the stories on how we make better decisions when we pay heed to the intuitive voice. It is nice to know that intuition speaks to us in matters such as buying a dress. It’s great that you found a nice dress for yourself without too much trouble!
Hi Evelyn,
I’m so glad you enjoyed this article.
I hope my sharing these stories shows readers that our intuition is there for us from the big decisions to the small ones!
All we need to do is develop trust in it.
Best,
Angela
A “womans intuition” has always struck a chord with me. I have often thought that women had some sort of witch craft going on with how they just knew certain things. But using the logic above I can see it may have been created out of a desire to protect the little ones in the village or encampment whilst the men were off hunting or fishing.
Hi Stepehen,
You are quite right. Studies have shown that women have better hearing. This sense is heightened for specifically the purpose you mention.
Thanks so much for visiting and commenting. It’s a pleasure meeting you.
Best,
Angela
Like others, I love these stories. They affirm my trust in my own intuition. I hope you will post some more.
Dear Galen,
What a wonderful pleasure to see you here. I hope all is well?
Me too. I love all the intuition stories and love publishing them. If you have one send it and I will post it!
Best,
Angela
Beautiful. I love these posts, Angela. From 1997, when I got married, it seems like my life has been driven by intuition and I’d say it was absolutely accurate 99% of the time. I suspect the 1% would be thanks to my own doubting self (yes, I delivered myself a mental kick during those times).
It really restores one’s faith to read others’ experiences – that is how life becomes meaningful – we take courage, we let go of fear and we move ahead with confidence in ourselves.
It is how I’ve come to believe that anything is possible!
Thank you! Love and hugs!
Hi Vidya,
I’m glad you liked the intuition stories. I love to share them. I think they are great teaching tools that showcase the different ways intuition works in people’s lives.
I’m so glad you are listening to your intuition! I do think that intuition is 100 percent accurate but – our rational minds filter in and then we act on the wrong impulse.
Following your intuition and having positive results does build confidence for sure. With time and practice we realize we are capable of anything.
Thank you for visiting. Love and hugs to you too!
Love these examples of intuition, Angela. I know when I listen, it does help me make decisions in my life. I go with my “gut” on many occasions now and it turns out to be the right decision. When I’ve been challenged in my life, my intuition has been there to guide me along. Love the three stories – and glad that you found your navy blue dress. Enjoy the wedding!
Hi Cathy,
I’m so glad you found this post interesting. It’s amazing how going with your gut solves things so easily. When we throw all those rationalizations into the mix is when we get mixed up!
Thank you – I’m so glad I found the dress so fast too!
Dear Fran,
I admire your courage to follow your intuition and go 9000 miles!
That’s fantastic.
I was thinking of you and what a wonderful story this is of allowing that voice within to guide you.
I know it’s going to be an extraordinary retreat. I cannot wait to see what you create there. I know it will be marvelous.
Best,
Angela
Ange-
Perfect timing for this post. I am now in Carmel ready to go to a 4 day writing retreat. Once I read about it, my instinct told me to attend – especially after I spoke with the woman who is running it. But after putting down a deposit, my logic swooped in and did a number on me. It told me that it didn’t make sense for me to spend the money and travel such a long distance – 9000 miles – to attend. After a few weeks of discomfort, my intuition won out. I feel good about it – I know it’s going to be magical. And I am proud of myself for listening to my inner voice.
Thanks for a great post – as always – xxoo-Fran
