Do you know the steps to making your dream a reality in your life?
Moving from a life you feel stuck and unhappy in to a life you love requires that you follow a system. You need a set of steps to shift your thinking from your old way of being to becoming a brand new person who can live this great dream you have inside.
Recently I wrote about 9 ways to recognize that your life is stuck and maybe you are stuck too. Being stuck is nothing to be ashamed of. We aren’t taught how to take a dream and make it into a reality.
Living a dream doesn’t have to be reserved for the lucky few.
Just because you weren’t taught how to take a great dream and pull it down from the land of possibility where it lives in your imagination into reality doesn’t mean that a solution doesn’t exist. There is a system to making your dreams a reality. The steps are tried and true and repeatable. You just need this recipe.
You already know that all the answers exist within. In fact, you have probably received the solution many times but you haven’t been receptive to it. Your intuition is always broadcasting to you. It’s the technology by which your Soul speaks to you. But when you’re stuck in a certain way of thinking your babbling monkey mind drowns out the whispers of your intuition and you don’t hear the solution that is being broadcast to you over and over.
Change your thinking
With your current inner programming you aren’t capable of seeing the solutions that are being broadcast to you. The answer is to change the way you are programmed and then you not only receive the answers but they appear as open doors for you to walk through in your life.
Changing your inner programming allows a curtain in your mind to go up and let’s you see all the solutions you’ve been searching for right there before you. Until you upgrade your thinking you will not see past the curtain.
Learning to be receptive to the solutions being broadcast to you is exactly what I wrote about in, “The Intuition Principle: How to Attract the Life You Dream Of.” The book is a recipe, a step by step method, which if followed changes you from the inside out and removes the curtain. Doing that allows you to “pull” your dreams right into your reality.
When I was stuck in a career that wasn’t me everyday I said a prayer, “Please God show me the way. Show me the path to free myself of this drudgery to live a life where I can truly express who I am meant to be.” I kept hoping the perfect job would appear.
The thing was my intuition had been broadcasting the answer to me for a long time but I was not ready to be receptive to it. The answer was not getting a different job. It was to go back to school, reinvent myself and transform my life.
I kept saying this prayer hoping that someone would offer me the perfect job. Whenever the thought crossed my mind about going back to school I glossed over it because it was too scary. How could I quit my job, I thought? How would I survive without a paycheck?
I didn’t know there was an actual system for transformation to follow that would allow me rise above my fears and bring my dreams into reality so I stayed stuck. I was going about it all wrong and wasting years of my life until I discovered the method purely by accident.
You know those few brave souls who’ve had the courage to jump from the edge of their old lives and lived to tell the tale of how making that leap brought their dreams into being? That was it! Until I said, “To hell with my fear,” and took this leap of faith nothing changed in my life.
The solution to living your dream is to start with the end result in mind and make that leap of faith no matter how scared you are. Focusing on the “how” is your fear talking and is what keeps you stuck.
Can you see how simple it is? Yet for many the breakthrough never occurs.
So stop focusing on all the “yukky” details and to start feeding the “yay!” of your dream of instead! Once you make a decision and take action all the details will fall into place.
Here are 5 tips for making your dream into a reality:
1. Get specific. Take out your journal and spend a morning writing out what your dream life looks like. Describe this life and everything in it so that if someone else read it they would be able to see it with crystal clarity too. Do not leave out any detail no matter how small you think it is. Block out this time and do not let anyone interrupt you. The process of writing it out in great detail will help you open up the space within for internal changes needed to organize your consciousness around this great new life you dream of.
1. Reprogram your thinking. Start with baby steps such as creating a masterful affirmation that inspires and motivates you. Here’s an example of what I used when I went back to school. “I am now so happy and grateful that I am a highly successful full time honors student majoring in writing, living comfortably and loving every minute of my college experience.”
2. Visualize your great goal. You’ve got to see it in your mind’s eye and feel that it is real deep down inside. Make time each day to close your eyes and actually live within this dream. You’ve got to allow yourself to get so revved up that your body releases the same chemicals it would release if you were really experiencing this great life you dream of.
3. Take action. Start right now! Think of what you can do right now, this minute, to move you toward your dream. It can be as simple as searching the Internet for the solution or picking up the phone and calling someone you met whom you think could point you in the right direction. But whatever you do don’t want another day.
4. Commit to make your dream a reality by a specific date. Take out the calendar and circle this date. When you have the end in mind you can then plan out the steps you need to take each and every day to get there. You must know where you are going and when you will arrive in order to create what you dream of. You want to live your dream now not, “whenever” right?
5. Live from your vision. This is the most important step. Constantly focus on the YAY not the YUK. What’s the YUK? It’s worrying about how it’s all going to get done.
Live and breath your vision every waking moment. Allow your vision to lift you up over the conditions of your life. When you are living from your vision you are living from possibility and have an expansive view of the landscape before you. From this high vantage point you don’t get stuck in small minded thinking that keeps most people reliving their same old lives day in and day out.

What matters most money or happiness?
Do you fear following to your intuition to do what you love? Are you unsure as to whether, “the money will follow?”

Each day we are bombarded with information telling us to “go after our dreams” but, our fear of letting go of security stops us.
The reality is that we need food, shelter and access to healthcare, all of which require money, in order to survive.
So, how do you start living the life you dream of while still “surviving in the real world?”
Warren Buffett has some terrific advice for young people just beginning their career journey:

What if you are not just starting out? What if you have a mortgage, family and piles of bills to pay each month?
Is there any way to create a fulfilling life without making money the focus of your life?
How to let your intuition nudge you toward happiness and put money in perspective:
1. Realize that “money” is not the problem. Money is only an exchange of energy. Years ago people exchanged goods and services in order to survive. It’s much more convenient to pull paper money out of your pocket than a goat.
“When I chased after money, I never had enough. When I got my life on purpose and focused on giving of myself and everything that arrived into my life, then I was prosperous.” –Wayne Dyer
2. The grass is always greener on the other side. If we don’t have money we soon find out we need it to survive and acquire the basic necessities in life. And when we do have money, many times we are doing jobs we don’t like. Neither extreme is healthy.

3. Come to terms with the fact that you do need money to survive in the physical world. Endeavor to find a job you can do without getting an ulcer over having to face it day after day.

4. To find the job or to create one that you love you must begin to allow your intuition to guide you. If you learn how to listen to your own inner wisdom it will guide step by step each day toward making decisions in the direction of greater happiness and fulfillment.
Use this intuitive barometer to make all your decisions: If you feel energized and enthused by something – it’s a yes! If you feel dread and drained of energy just thinking about something – that’s a big NO GO!

5. Make time to meditate every day. Go within to listen to your inner voice. Only by listening to this inner guidance – your intuition – will you know what steps to take to move your life back on the track of greater fulfillment.

6. Before making any decisions, taking a new job or otherwise, ask yourself if this action is moving you in the direction of more fulfillment in your life or away from it? If it moves you further away from happiness and fulfillment, allow yourself 48 hours to review your decision before committing to it.

7. Accept that sometimes you will make decisions based on your pocketbook because you need to pay the bills. As long as the majority of the decisions you make in life lead you toward greater fulfillment and happiness, rather than in the single-minded pursuit of money and security, that’s fine and as it should be.

Coming Back to Life Ecourse – Interview with my dear friend, Jodi Chapman
Jodi please tell us about yourself.
I am an inspirational writer. I am definitely evidence that our lives can change drastically once we make our minds up and begin to leap toward our dreams. For now, I’ll say that I write the blog Soul Speak, and I am so grateful for the loving community there. I also co-wrote (with my amazing husband, Dan Teck) the bestselling Soulful Journals series – 11 writing-prompt books that make getting to know yourself fun. I am the author of the upcoming book, Coming Back to Life: How An Unlikely Friend Helped Me Reclaim My True Spirit, which is what my new ecourse is based on.
What inspired you to create the Coming Back to Life Ecourse?
Two years ago, I was in a very different place. I was feeling lost and numb and completely disconnected from my soul and from all of life. Like so many of us, I was living my life on auto-pilot. I was alive in the sense that my body was functioning – my heart was beating, and I was getting up each day and going to work, but I wasn’t REALLY living. I was just going through the motions – sleepwalking through life – and I wasn’t even aware of it.
And it’s not like this numbing out happened overnight – it happened gradually over a period of many years. Throughout my life, when something or someone hurt me, it felt like a little part of me left. I’ve always been a sensitive soul, and sometimes it was just easier to retreat rather than feel the pain.
I also have lived most of my life feeling afraid and stepping back rather than leaping when I was called to take a chance. Also, I had spent several years in survival mode – struggling to get by financially, and I if I did realize that I was numb and needed to wake up and start living, I would’ve seen this as frivolous and not a great way to make sure all the bills were paid. So all of these pains and fears and struggles piled up on top of each other – creating a dark cloud over my heart. It was just easier to go to sleep and not think about it or feel any of it.
Two years ago, all of the struggles in my life came to a head – my husband and I had to move under very stressful and surprising circumstances, we were having a hard time staying passionate about our struggling gift business, we were drowning in bills with no light that we could see at the end of the tunnel, and we had just lost two people who meant a lot to us. So we were grieving and trying to put our life back together at the same time.
All I wanted to do was crawl into my bed, pull the covers up, and wake up when everything was better again. I didn’t know how I was going to keep going.
That’s when the helping hand came.
My loved one who had just died began communicating with me from the other side. He was my childhood sweetheart, and we hadn’t spoken in almost 20 years. I was definitely not open to this sort of thing at all, so it took an entire year of him sending me signs and me asking for more signs and on and on before we finally could get to work. And once we did, my entire world opened up. He helped me see that being here on Earth is such a beautiful gift – a gift that we have chosen to be a part of. He helped me see that I wasn’t really living. And he helped me wake up and step back into my life again.
Our journey together has been life-changing for me. Everything changed – all because I now saw things through a different lens. I now know that my time here is precious, and I can choose to come back to life. We all can.
That’s why I created this course. I was given this beautiful gift, and I didn’t want to keep it all to myself. I want to be the helping hand for anyone who wanted to start living again and wasn’t sure how to do it.

Today I’m delighted to share my conversation with Melody Fletcher of the Deliberate Receiving. Melody is an expert in the Law of Attraction.
If you’re not reading her blog you’re missing out on some awesome information. Today Melody shares three of her best tips with us for activating and utilizing the Law of Attraction in our lives.
Here is the “cliff notes” version of our conversation but, you really ought to listen to the whole thing to get all the benefits of what Melody shares with us.
1. You have to pay attention to you how you feel. Your emotions indicate whether you are moving in the right direction in your life or not.
We have been taught to not acknowledge our emotions and to suppress them. But, our emotions tell us whether we are moving in the right direction in our lives or not. We should be honoring the choices that feel better rather than those that make us feel bad. Allow your emotions of enthusiasm, exuberance, unconditional love and joy to lead your decisions. Pursue activities that create these emotions and you will manifest a life of joy.
2. Instead of complaining about something ask yourself, “What would I want instead?”
When you switch from complaining to focusing on what you want it completely changes your mindset to a more positive frame of mind. When you ask yourself what you want instead you are sending a “memo” to the Universe saying that you no longer desire to engage in situations that annoy or upset you. Shift gears from being upset to talking about what you want and you will feel better and when you feel better you will begin to turn your life around. Having positive emotions and feeling better is your first manifestation. Nothing can come into your life unless it is a vibrational match. The more often you do this the sooner you will see changes in your physical reality. When you change the way that you feel your life will change around you.
3. Learn to quiet the mind so you can focus on feeling good and on what you want in your life.
You can raise your vibration and have a “party in your head” by visualizing what you what you want in your life. The joy you feel during this “mind journey” will translate into positivity that affects your life for the better. By exuding an emotional frequency that matches what you focus upon internally – your outer life will reorder itself with situations that match your new higher emotional frequency.
Meditation is a great tool to help you attune to feeling good and the vibration of what it is you wish manifest in your life. Guided meditation is an excellent way to allow your mind to slow down and relax by focusing on listening to the narrator.
To create the happy life you want that you can look back on with no regrets get in touch with your emotions, stop complaining and focus on what you want and how that will make you feel.

Our inner voice is our connection to the universe and the key to unlocking all of your heart’s desires. And yet, do you believe this?
We have a lot of scepticism and doubt over whether our inner voice (commonly known as our ‘instinct’ or ‘gut feeling’) can actually be useful to us. After all, it seems to be telling us that we should think about changing careers, yet why would we want to leave our comfortable, well-paid job? Or it may be telling us that a change of location is needed, yet all our friends are where we currently are, and it seems crazy to move away.
