3 Ways to Use Your Intuition to Rise From the Ashes of Your Life

Posted 07 Jun 2012 — by Angela Artemis
Category How to recognize intuition, Overcome obstacles, Self-empowerment

Trusting our intuition often saves us from disaster. –Anne Wilson Schae

When you listen to your intuition you avoid many of the problems that are created by ignoring your intuition when making decisions.Living a problem free life

Are you healing from an accident that could have been avoided like my friend Sandi?

Did you ignore the signs of an unfaithful spouse?

Were you so attached to keeping up pretenses that you are now facing a bankruptcy?

Are you struggling to stay afloat, sane, grounded, focused and together enough to put the pieces of your life back together?

Often it’s our mistakes that call our attention to the fact that we’ve ignored our intuition. When we look back over the things that have gone wrong in our lives we remember that there was this little nagging voice at the back our mind telling us not to do what we did but, we chose to ignore it.

Recently a reader asked me if his life would always be problem-free if he followed his intuition.

I’ve written many times here on Powered by Intuition and in “The Intuition Principle” that allowing your intuition to guide you is the way to creating a life that “flows effortlessly toward your desires.”

When your life flows effortlessly toward your desires you encounter fortunate coincidences such as synchronicty and serendipity, that move you along the path toward your goals. A fortunate coincidence is the result of you being in the right place at the right time or taking action at the right time so that you are moving along a trajectory that intersects with another person or situation that turns out to be just the opportunity you need.

Why do fortunate coincidences occur?

The reason you meet with these fortunate coincidences is because you’ve followed your intuition when making decisions. Had you not listened to the impulse to pick up the phone and call “so and so” or gone to a certain place on this day at this time you would have never made this connection. Listening to your inner voice is listening to wisdom from within.

At the time the impulse to do this or that arises you cannot explain it. There is no “rational” reason for wanting to the thing you’re being prompted to do. It’s only after the event of being in the right place or having something you need fall into your lap that you understand why you were being “pulled” to do what you did. This is what I mean when I say, “your life will flow effortlessly toward your desires.”

Ignoring intuition is a lot like touching a hot stove: You need only get burned once to know that ignoring your intuition is NOT a good idea!

What about problems?

This doesn’t mean that your car won’t ever break down, your spouse announce that they want a divorce, a hacker steal your information, a broken pipe flood your basement, you won’t ever get laid off from your job…and on and on and on – essentially life will go on and **s__t** will still happen!

What you can expect if you follow your inner guidance is that you will avoid making wrong decisions that create more problems by going ahead with things when your intuition is warning you against it. By following your inner wisdom you will meet with fortunate coincidences that will propel your life forward toward your goals and desires. But, you have to realize that things will still go wrong at times and happen in your life that will be out of your control.

Intuition can be your silver lining

On the other hand, when you follow your intuition you will be able to solve your problems more elegantly. Your intuitive insight will inspire you with ideas about solutions you can take about your situation so that when you do have to deal with problems you will find your way back to normalcy faster and more easily.

We are here to learn life lessons

Unfortunately, most of us learn the hard way – me included – by making mistakes, some of them really, really big. Each time we make a mistake if we are enlightened we will look over what happened and honestly assess what role our behavior played in contributing to the situation and take steps to change what we do in the future. Most of us aren’t born perfect so our lives aren’t perfect either. Making mistakes is part our journey and how we acquire wisdom and experience.

Intuition is not magical but it sure does help~

When you are accustomed to listening to the wisdom of your inner voice you are also more open to being honest about your faults and to working at changing your behavior. This is a boon when it comes to dealing with problems. If you are not under the tight control of your ego you will see your part in what has happened and learn from it so that it doesn’t happen again. And you will be better able to manage the situation from this point forward to move toward a resolution. Listening to your inner voice will help you pick up the pieces of you life and put you back on the right path again.

So, while following your intuition does not guarantee that your life will be free of problems it is a very positive habit to cultivate overall, especially when you are down on your luck.

If you see your life circumstances in this article use the following suggestions to help you get your life back on track:

1. Take some time each day to get quiet. Close your eyes and go within. Ask for guidance and inner wisdom to show you how your underlying motivations may have contributed to creating the life circumstances you are dealing with now. Resist the urge to blame others and point fingers.

If any instances of ignoring your intuition in the past come to mind that may have also contributed to the problems you are now facing, use this knowledge of how your intuition sounded and felt to learn what to look for in the future.

We can only do better once we know better. This is the time to learn what we can do better next time.

2. Forgive yourself and anyone else that is involved. Forgiveness doesn’t mean that we absolve someone of wrong doing. It means that we let go and stop being tethered to this dark cloud of anger and seething emotions that follows us everywhere.

Refusing to forgive literally “clouds” your judgement and creates a huge shadow over your life. Everything appears dark and drab under the shadow of this cloud. If you could let go of it you would be engulfed in sunshine and feel better and positive enough to see that you can and will rise above your current circumstances.

3. Listen for your intuition. Tell yourself that you are open to hearing this wisdom. Ask that you be given answers and solutions to dealing with your current problem.

Ask to be intuitively inspired to contact the right people or to go to the right places at the right time to find the answers and solutions you need.

What is your intuition prompting you to do next? Keep a list of what your inner voice is saying. Review the list and see what speaks to you most and then do it.

If you have a nagging feeling at the back of your mind telling you to do something or not do something listen to it!

Your intuition is a marvelous shortcut to the answers and solutions  you seek and to getting over the mountain range of your obstacles. My friend Rob White says, “Intuition offers a short cut, like a tunnel through a mountain range,” and he is right.

You can and will rise from the ashes of your own life when you begin to tune into your intuition.

Can you see how ignoring your intuition in the past may have contributed to the struggles you are now facing? What have you learned about how your intuition speaks to you? Can you describe what to look for next time so you won’t have to hit another low point in your life?

Follow Your Intuition To a Life You Love – 11 Tips

Posted 03 Jun 2012 — by Angela Artemis
Category Change Your Life, Follow your dreams, Intuitive Insight

“Intuition is a spiritual faculty and does not explain, but simply points the way.” –Frances Scovel Shinn

You can use your intuition to lead you to a life you love. All it takes is letting go and trusting your inner voice.

Follow your intuition to a life you loveDuring a session a client commented that when reviewing her past mistakes in life she was able to identify a pattern of ignoring her intuition. Whenever she had ignored her intuition and relied solely on the rational mind to make a decision it had not turned out well.

The reason she had ignored her intuition and not followed its guidance was because she was afraid of what might happen if she followed it.

By far, the biggest reason why people ignore their intuition and end up making bad decisions and wrong choices is because they are fearful of letting go and trusting their intuition.

I know through my own experience that not listening to my intuition is what put me on the wrong path in my life. It was only when I finally let go of the fear and “took the leap of faith” and began listening to it that my life began to change for the better.

When we won’t let go and fear trusting our inner guidance it is because we want to “control” the outcome.

The problem with control is that we also limit the possibilities of what may happen when we try so hard to be in control of things.

You might think that the only solution is “X” but, what if letting go means that you set off a new chain of events that leads to an unexpected and even better solution? Wouldn’t you want that instead?

Letting go and letting your intuition lead you is the way to set off the new chain of events that leads to those fortunate coincidences and door opening opportunities.

When you take a leap of faith to follow your intuition the Universe will catch you and gently place you on the road that leads straight to your heart’s desire.

Here’s a wonderful account of how listening to intuition led Janet Brent straight to her heart’s desire and to a wonderful new life:

When I was smack in my mid-twenties “quarter-life crisis”, I made a decision that would change the course of my life by breaking up my five year long-term relationship to the man I thought I’d marry. I realized how much of a sham stability is and knew I needed to work on loving myself and finding my passions. I told myself I would need two years to be completely single, without the bullshit of dating. Feeling very lost amidst the crying fits, I wondered what to do next.
.
A quiet voice that I call my inner intuition told me to move back to the Philippines, my home country where I was born. Having grown up in the Pacific Northwest since the age of 3, this seemed like a crazy idea and I wasn’t sure how I was ever going to pull it off. That whisper in my head wouldn’t go away and a year later, I stepped on the plane to follow my heart. I had no plans, but I made a “bucket list” of things I wanted to do. A handful of those things were crossed off without actively searching, but many came as opportunities practically handed to me!
.
“Join a Zen Buddhist temple to practice meditation” came about when I was about to start a new work-from-home head hunter job that didn’t satisfy my passion. I asked for guidance and for a sign that following my intuition to turn it down was the right thing to do. Show me a better opportunity and I’ll take it. The next day, I noticed a link to the Buddhist retreat in the Philippines while viewing a friend’s Facebook profile. Live and stay at a temple for four months FREE. It was a no brainer for someone with “no plans” with a one-way ticket and no savings/very little funds. “Stop eating meat for a long period of time” would also be crossed off my bucket list.
.
“Learn Filipino Martial Arts” came about when a co-retreat member  introduced me to a martial arts teacher who I ended up walking 660 km with on a tropical island. This experience came directly after the retreat where I had asked to find a spiritual partner. Feeling like my life was starting to seem like “Eat Pray Love“, I knew that “love” was coming soon. The day we first took our friendship to the next level was two years exact to the date of my breakup/singleversary.
.
Amazing intuitive experiences came during our walk. Things like declaring I wanted my own bottle of ice cold water, in a provincial area where buying ice cold Coke is much more available, and then manifesting it that same night when we reached a bigger town and a villager decided to give us an ice cold bottle water in exchange for the massage my partner freely gave. He also gave us a rare rice delicacy that my partner was craving all day. On another occasion, the universe even answered when I wanted to drink! The group who hosted our shelter for the night were drinking rounds of gin and this was the only night in our trip when our hosts were drinking.
.
Another night, we had stopped by a beachside hut and I looked with longing at the other side of a private fenced area next to ours which had a bigger, much more comfortable hut that I wanted to sleep in. A tent was there but I wasn’t sure if anyone was in it.
.
While my partner was meditating and making intentions to give us help for the night and a vegetarian meal, an old man who was tasked not to let anyone in the beach property came out of the tent and was drawn towards the ocean where my partner was meditating. After talking together, my partner received an intuitive message that wouldn’t have made sense to just anyone, but made stunning sense to the old man. “Don’t worry about your son, he still loves you.” When the man heard the message he decided to take us in, cooked us a vegetarian meal of seaweed and rice (for me) plus sardines (for them), and let us sleep in the bigger hut that I wanted to sleep in.
I feel constantly blessed by how life has guided me and I continue to use techniques for manifesting and affirmations.
.
Thank you for sharing this with us Janet!
.
Are you afraid of taking an intuitive leap into a life you love? Answer these 8 question to help you identify what’s holding you back from following your intuition:
.
1. Review some of your biggest mistakes in life – things you wish you could “do over” if you had the chance.
.
2. Do you recall having an intuitive sense to to do something else at the time you made those decisions, that you ignored?
.
3. What did you want to do instead that you didn’t do?
.
4. How might your life be different now if you had followed your intuition?
.
5. Can you see a theme or pattern to your mistakes? What is it?
.
6. Why did you ignore your intuition – what outcome were you trying to secure? For examples was your goal to maintain your safety and security, to avoid challenging yourself or looking stupid or due to fear of failure or fear of success?
.

7. Is this theme or pattern still running your life today? How is it holding it you back?

8. What is your intuition telling you to do next or what has it been nagging at you to do recently?

9. What if you did it? Think about the myriad of ways your life could change if you followed this guidance.

10. Can you find a way to “take a test run” of the intuitive prompt you’re getting? Can you make some phone calls or do some research to see if it is doable in you life?

11. Act for one day as if you have taken the leap. How does it feel? What do you envision happening after you take the leap of faith to follow your intuition?

Sometimes you need to “act as if” you are going to follow through on your hunch and then in the process your fear will diminish and you will find that you are ready to take that leap. Calling it “practice” or a “test drive” is much less frightening.

.

Where are you stuck in your life? Can you see how ignoring your intuition has made your life “smaller?” What will you differently now?

Today I’m sharing something special with you – my first video chat about using your intuition.

I had the pleasure and honor of being interviewed by Suzie Cheel about my new book, “The Intuition Principle.” While the interview came about because of the book our conversation is really about the basics of intuition development and how to apply intuition in your daily life.

Suzie is a natural as an interviewer and her questions were seamlessly sprinkled throughout our conversation.

Here’s what we discussed:

  • Why I gave Suzie a prescription during her reading and what it led to in her life.
  • I have a section in the book called, “The Fabulousity Factor.” Everybody wants to know what that is. Find out here.
  • How the Fabulousity Factor is related to synchronicity and serendipity.
  • Why we make poor choices when we live inauthentically.
  • Two simple techniques that will help you identify and trust your intuition.
  • How developing your intuition can boost your confidence.
  • The importance of dreams in getting intuitive guidance.
  • The role meditation plays in enhancing your intuition.
  • A simple technique to descend into a deeper level of awareness.
  • Using journaling to dialogue with your higher self.
  • How to create an intuition development routine.
  • What is the Intuition Principle?
  • What is an intuitively inspired life and how can you live an intuitvely inspired life?
  • And so much more!

25 Ways You Are Using Your Intuition in Daily Life (but may not know it!)

Posted 28 May 2012 — by Angela Artemis
Category Developing Intuition, Intuitive Insight

There can be as much value in the blink of an eye as in months of rational analysis.” Malcolm Gladwell

Developing and learning to follow your intuition has many practical applications in daily life.

Intuitive insight, intuitive mind, intuitive thinkingIt’s been well publicized that some of the world’s most renowned creative geniuses use their intuition when making decisions. Names like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates spring to mind immediately.

Learning to tap into your inner wisdom can save you from making a wrong business decision, picking the wrong business partner, save you money and time and so much more.

You are already checking in with your gut and following your hunches for all kinds of practical uses but, just don’t realize it. Check out this list of common ways your intuition assists you in making decisions and choices and supplies you with information in your daily life.

You’ve probably been relying on gut feelings more than you know to…..

1. To see which of two nurseries has the type of tomato plants you’re looking for so you don’t waste the time and gasoline driving to the wrong one.

2. To get a feel for which summer camp your child would enjoy most and not be struck by a severe case of home sickness. There is something about the counselors at the one camp you feel would make your son feel more secure.

3. You have a hunch that your sister and her boyfriend will show up at your summer home this weekend and so you buy two extra steaks while they are on sale. And, they do show up.

4. Know whether going in on a shore house with that couple a good idea or it will ruin your friendship?

5. Throw a pair of sneakers in the trunk so you can change out of your sandals. You have a suspicion it’s going to rain even though there is no rain in the forecast.

6. Which tree service will the best job and not add on extra charges for cutting a few extra limbs while on the job.

7. The next two weeks are going to be crazy as your son is getting married. Your gut says that the leak under the sink is not serious enough for a plumber so taping it up with plumber’s tape is going to be fine for now. After the wedding you have the plumber out and he says had you waited any longer to call him you would have had a flood in your kitchen.

8. You refuse to open the door to the unannounced visitor from the gas company and later find out that it was a scam to rob people’s homes.

9. You always seem to “know” where to find for lost items in the house.

10. Seeing an expensive patio set at Lowe’s prompts you to call an old friend who had a similar set. When you tell the friend what prompted you to call the friend gifts you their patio set because they just bought a new one!

11. Suddenly think to ask the dealership to check the spare tire during a routine oil change just prior to your family’s annual vacation by car. Thank goodness you did because it turned out the spare was defective.

12. You insist that your husband move the grill from the wood deck to the flagstone patio because you feel uneasy about it being there. He tries to tell you there’s no reason to move it and that millions of people grill on their decks. You wonder if you’re being paranoid? The next time he is grilling the entire grill falls off the stand.

1 3. Something tells you to go to the local hardware store in your town even though it’s more expensive than to Home Depot out on the highway. Later you hear on the evening news that there was a water main break that flooded that stretch of highway.

14. You go with a friend to see a condo she wants to bid on and meet the next door neighbor in the parking lot – who creeps you out totally. She buys the apartment and it turns out the police are called regularly to break up domestic violence between he and his wife.

15. A friend tells you about a new department opening up at his company that you would be perfect for and sends your resume to his director. You immediately know that you’re going to be offered this job so you stop sending out resumes. Two months later you are offered the job and take it.

16. A colleague in a similar business is discussing developing a product or service that is similar to one you’ve been working on. A little voice in your head says it would be good idea to join forces. You bring it up and it turns out to be very successful.

17. Tell your nephew to consider it a a lucky break that he was let go from his job as something is “fishy” is going on there. The next month there is an article in the paper and the company is under investigation from the FBI.

18. You sense something is wrong in a friend’s marriage and have a strange foreboding even though your friend has said nothing to you. Two years later they are separated and getting divorced.

20. You are taking a walk and see one of your friend’s ex-husband’s contracting trucks drive by. This reminds you that he has been ill and you wonder how he is doing? The next day you read his obituary in the paper.

21. You are walking around past the window in your apartment in your nightgown when you suddenly get the feeling you are being watched. You look up and there is your neighbor from across the courtyard watching you!

22. You have a dream that you are at your doctor’s and she says you need to have a tumor removed. Three months later you find out that you have a nodule on your thyroid and schedule surgery to have it removed.

23. You are stopping at the grocery store after work and for some inexplicable reason pick up brownie mix even though you wife didn’t have that on the list. When you get home your daughter says that she had been in the mood to make brownies.

24. You attend a seminar and see a person from across the room and smile at them. You know at that very moment that you are going to like this person and become friends and you do.

25. You’ve become interested in a new hobby. While out for lunch you are drawn to stop in at a new gift shop that opened up. You meet the owner and she tells you that she teaches this hobby and will offering classes in her shop soon.

Intuition is so subtle that many times we don’t even realize it is working for us. I hope this list gives you a better idea of how you are already using intuition in your life.

Can you see how some of these examples may be similar to things you’ve experienced in your life? What experiences have you had with your intuition? Share with us or ask a question.

The Raven Who Spoke To God

Posted 03 May 2012 — by Angela Artemis
Category Books, Change your thinking, Spiritual healing

I’m delighted to interview Christopher Foster, author and founder of The Happy Seeker blog.

The Raven Who Spoke to GodChristopher is author of The Raven Who Spoke with God, an inspirational novel recently published in Kindle format at Amazon. This book was first distributed on 9/11 and has appeared in 11 foreign language editions.

1.Where are you from and when were your born?

I was born in London in 1932. My dad was a reporter on big London dailies and my mother was a teacher. I was an only child in a traditional middle-class British family and when I left school I became a reporter like my dad. I had a good career ahead of me but for some strange reason I just couldn’t fit in.

I longed to find the truth and when I was in my early 20s I give up my family and career and native country and went to British Columbia to find freedom.

2. What inspired you to write The Raven Who Spoke with God?

I’ve always loved animals, and nature. I wanted to show the connection that binds us to the natural world, and I also wanted to portray through the form of a story the longing that is in each one of us to answer the call of “The hero’s Journey,” as Joseph Campbell described it. I believe the Unknown is always where our true freedom lies.

3. Tell us a bit about the book. What lessons does it teach?

I wanted to illustrate through a story the importance of persistence, and courage, and listening to our own heart. Joshua is a brave but sensitive young raven with a big dream in life. He has listened to his grandmother’s stories about how the raven used to be honored as a messenger and guardian of humanity, and he wants to restore that ancient honor of his kind.

He experiences many difficulties and traumas but his own integrity will not let him give up his mission. The message of the book is: Trust life. Trust your own unconquerable spirit.

4. How would my readers benefit from reading your book?

I think they would benefit in two ways. First, it would be an opportunity to set aside the worries of modern life and immerse themselves in a charming and inspiring story.

Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, I designed the book as a blueprint to help people navigate through the challenges of their life and be reminded of the true meaning, beauty and happiness that is the divine birthright of each one of us.

5. When did you first realize you were destined to be a writer?

It was in the early days of the blitz in London in World War II. Bombs were falling all around the apartment block where I lived with my mother at the time. My dad was overseas as a war correspondent.

One day for some reason I just started writing a story in an old scrapbook, and the more I kept writing this story the more I realized what fun it was. I still find writing to be enormous fun and hey, it has this great advantage that you can pretty well keep writing at any age.

6. What have been some of your biggest challenges?

My first wife and I were returning from the Caribbean in 1991 where we had celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. She had a stroke on the plane and died a few hours after we arrived in Vancouver. It was devastating. Then two or three years later, the spiritual community to which I belonged for 36 years collapsed – this was after the death of its leader — and I had no option but to leave the community at 63 with no idea at all how I would live or what I would do.

Those were both very difficult experiences, but the biggest challenge of all came a few years later. I had moved to Colorado and remarried and I thought everything was fine, when suddenly, without warning, I fell into a deep and excruciating one year depression.

It was the most difficult period of my life, and yet the strange thing is that it also turned out to be a blessing. It was like I had experienced some psychic healing, because the depression just lifted one day and I felt a beautiful stillness and peace that has never left me.

 7. Do you have a spiritual routine? What is it?

Oh dear, difficult question to answer Angela. I do and I don’t. I like to take a little time first thing in the morning and last thing in the evening just to sit quietly and commune with myself. And I like to include a bit of abdominal breathing in the evening, which helps to calm me in a wonderful way.

But above all, as I age, I find the true joy of my life is taking a few moments every now and again to simply be conscious of my own timeless presence. To love that. I love “looking at myself,” to quote a friend and mentor, John Sherman. I find that as I continue “loving myself” in this way life changes and transforms in magical ways.

8. There is a turning point in your book where Joshua finds a mentor. Has synchronicity played a part in your life?

Synchronicity has played a huge part of my life. I believe there is a hand of grace on each one of us. There have been many times when just the right person came into my life at just the right time and changed my life forever.

This is how it was, for example, when I met my wife, JoAnn, about 16 years ago. We lived far apart geographically, we didn’t know each other from Adam, and yet synchronicity – or the Angels, as I sometimes like to think of it – found a way to bring us together. It opened a door to a whole new chapter in my life including a move to this great country called USA.

9. If you could have 60 seconds to give a message to the world what would it be?

Listen to the nudges of your own heart and stay true to your own wisdom and integrity and everything will work out just fine.

10. What project are you working on next?

I do see some exciting possibilities but right now it’s time to stay calm and let what wants to emerge keep on emerging.

If you enjoyed this post subscribe to updates here. Share this post Twitter and Facebook.

P.S. to learn more about synchronicity check out these books.

Going without goals an update in the Year of the Dragon

As of January 23, we officially entered the  Chinese New Year of the Dragon.

The Chinese Fortune Calendar website describes the year of the dragon this way,”The Chinese consider the dragon to be unpredictable, untouchable and, people cannot see its head and tail at the same time. Therefore, we might see something unexpected happening in 2012.”

I don’t know a thing about Chinese Astrology but, the Year of the Dragon is fitting for my decision to “go without goals” in 2012. I chose to follow my intuition or what some people refer to as their “bliss,” instead of making resolutions this year. Read More

Learn to Listen To Your Intuition and Never Miss An Opportunity Again!

Synchronicity abounds when you follow your intuition

Some years back I read a book that made a huge impression on me. It was about a young woman who let her intuition lead her in every decision she made. (Unfortunately, I can’t remember the name of it or the author.) This  young woman followed her inner promptings which resulted in a series of serendipitous events; she went back to school, then moved out of state, met her perfect soul mate, and ended up working for the Edgar Cayce Foundation in Virginia Beach – her dream job. I remember thinking as I read, Why doesn’t my life flow like that?

Looking back now, I know exactly why my life never flowed like hers. This young woman let her gut guide her – I never did. I was too scared of making a mistake, instead I played it safe and dismissed the many urgent promptings of my intuition.

Physician heal thy self

A year ago I decided that I needed to start practicing what I preached. Here I was an intuitive easily able to dispense advice for others, but when it came to myself not able to trust my own intuition. I decided I would allow my intuition to lead in my decisions from that point forward. And, when I did start to base my decisions on my gut and not my rational mind – my life began to improve immediately.

At the time I was also miserable in my job. Soon after a great job appeared for me, and after checking in with my gut I jumped ship leaving the old place behind. As soon as I returned from new hire training business started heating up and my finances improved. And, all it took was giving that intuitive voice the respect it deserved.

Intuition is easy to overlook

Intuition is very subtle, which is exactly what makes it so easy to miss and overlook. It can come as a feeling in the gut – one that tells you that something is right or wrong, or it can come as a warning and a feeling of dread. Just as frequently, it’s quiet like a whisper, or the flitting of a butterfly that touches down ever so lightly in our consciousness before disappearing.

With intuition, until you start paying attention you may not be aware of these flashes. Although once you begin to notice them it’s a bit like buying a new car you start seeing that model everywhere. When you put yourself on alert to be aware of these stirrings the same thing happens; the frequency of your intuitive insights increase. After that once you begin using your intuition to make decisions, it takes no time at all to see serendipitous events begin to appear in your life.

The serendipitous events are proof positive that you’re hearing and following your intuition. When we receive this direct knowledge we’ve tapped into the source that keeps the planets in their orbit, and the earth spinning on its axis. This infinite intelligence doesn’t make mistakes. By plugging into it and using these intuitive insights our lives flow and all the details come together seamlessly.

Most people don’t recognize or trust their intuition

The biggest hurdles most people face in putting intuition to use are in recognizing the voice of intuition and differentiating it from their own thoughts, and trusting what they get. Intuitive thoughts stream through the mind more rapidly than our own thoughts. Not only that, but when they do appear they’re usually complete ideas. In many cases they feel as if they were downloaded whole into the brain. As far as trust goes, only jumping in with both feet and following hunches enough times to know that it’s real will build that trust.

Here are 5 easy tips to help you hone your intuition and put it to work for you:

1. Create the intention to begin noticing your intuition. Tell yourself that you want to become aware of your intuitive insights and that you will become aware of them.

2. Keep a small notebook with you at all times where you can jot down any thoughts that appear to have been downloaded whole into your mind without you generating them.

3. Give yourself many opportunities to practice. Before answering the phone ask yourself who it might be. When meeting with friends see if you get any impressions about what they will be wearing. For 25 tips to hone your intuition read this post.

4. Make it a habit to meditate every day. Meditation is the most powerful way to boost your intuition. If you don’t know how to meditate read my post.

5. When you’re faced with a decision close your eyes and clear your mind. Ask yourself what you should do – then stop thinking. See what comes to mind no matter how silly it might be. It could be an image, a word, or a thought. Examine this closely. It’s usually your answer.

Work on incorporating these tips into your life and I guarantee you’ll see a huge rise in your intuitive insights and the number of seemingly miraculous coincidences that occur in you life.
